Re: App

@glen-fear

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".

Re: App

@glen-fear

According to the below post from an eBay rep, the UK stopped supporting older operating systems and this is intentional, not a tech issue. Android 10 and iOS 17 are the minimum operating system requirements for the eBay app in the UK.

If your device cannot upgrade the OS, you should still be able to access https://www.ebay.co.uk/ using a web browser on your device.

If links are automatically opening in the app you can delete the app which will default links to opening in your device's web browser.

Re: App

Before there were apps, there were web browsers.

If your phone can use a browser like Chrome or Firefox or Edge or Opera or Safari, you can most likely use one of those to reach ebay.co.uk instead of using the app, even if your operating system is not the latest version.

If browser links cause the eBay app to open automatically, you can change your settings so that does not happen, or else delete the eBay app.
