Hi all,
I am a UK user, this is the first time I'm having a problem with the application becoming incompatible.
I don't receive any notifications.
I am using Android One UI version 8.0, and my mobile phone is a Samsung S23+.
How can I ask for help or inform the eBay IT department?
Does anybody else have this issue?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

That explains it @agoramarketuk , but what you can do is shake your phone while the eBay app is open then tap on the report a tech issue link.
Report the problem you're having and eBay will be able to see what version of the eBay app and what OS version your phone is using.

The eBay app requires Android 10 or later or iOS 17.0 or later to use the latest version.
If your device is outdated perhaps you should use your devices web browser to log into eBay.

@ebooksdiva Samsung's One UI 8.0 runs on Android 16.
Make sure you're on the latest eBay app version in the Play Store. You can delete the app and download it again to ensure that you are.
Sometimes your notifications settings can be changed after an app and/or OS update. Check not only within the app via MyEbay, but also within the device's Settings > Apps > eBay > Notifications.

Since I only use Apple I’m not familiar with Samsung products.

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
I am actually head of Android users as I am the Beta user of new Android 16, software One UI 8.0 possibly that is why eBay didn't processed the update yet.
I am able to use the app, it is just not popping up the notifications.
I need to open the app to see if anything sold or any offers made etc.
I shall have to wait for the update.
Have a nice day.

The Android version of the eBay app has a notification diagnostic tool to determine which settings may be interfering with notifications. Look under Notifications in Settings. Sometimes a battery optimization setting can put the app into hibernation, preventing notifications.

Thank you for your reply.
I have already checked all and I use the app (also website) often (and well).
It seems like app needs updates to adopt newer software, as I am a beta user for upcoming software. I have been made aware by the Android when I was accepting to be a Beta user for this kind of problems.

Hi all, I have a similar problem. When I search for the eBay app on the Google Play Store, using my Pixel 8 running android 15. The eBay app (eBay Online Shopping and Selling) doesn't even show up in the results.
EBay Motors app shows up but not eBay app. When I search for eBay app on the website using windows 11 desktop, I can get to the app page but I can't download the app because the play store says all my devices are not compatible. On my Pixel 8, in Play Store App, Play Protect certification says - Device is certified. Play store support asked me to clear cache in Play Store and Google Services apps and reboot. That did not fix the issue. They said contact eBay support
