If you have been notified to update your eBay app, here are the steps to take to get the latest version onto your device. You need to have iOS 14 or higher to get the latest version from the Apple App Store

Open the App Store app on your device
Search for eBay app in the App Store
Select ‘Update’ button next to the eBay app title

iOS 12 - If your device is running iOS 12 you might be able to install an older version from the App Store

Delete the ebay app from the device
Open the app store app
Tap account button
Tap Purchased
Scroll to the eBay app and tap the cloud and down arrow icon

If your device cannot be upgraded to iOS 12 you can use the Safari browser to access ebay.

To my disappointed I opened the eBay iPad App this week and got the message that the version expired and I need to download the latest version.

The link to App Store brings me to the eBay App Page. Trying to downland the app gives me an error. Unfortunately I get the message "unable to purchase" . the new version is not compatible with my iPad.

I have an iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5

is there a way to access the last compatible version for 9.3.5 or am I stuck using the web browser version forever?

This is where I am at as well. In an attempt to resolve problems with version 5.28.1 I deleted the eBay app with the intention of re-downloading it. Now I have the same message that it is incompatible. It's funny how up until I deleted the app version 5.28.1 was running on my iPad but with a few problems.

I really would like to go back to version 5.28.0 because this was working fine until it was automatically updated a few days ago. It would be nice if that was made available.

Can you let us know what happens when you tap the cloud icon? Do you get an alert? Can you also upgrade your device to iOS 10.3?

eBay app installs with version 5.27.5, when I launch the app I get 2 errors. I can't sign in to my account.

Bearer token is missing in authorization header. Should be under name 'Authorization' (Request .OAuth.1002)

prior to this my eBay app was working but periodically will have

It looks like both your iPad and iPhone should be able to install the latest version 5.40.0. On the iPad we recommend you delete the app and redownload. If you are having issues getting it installed please let us know.
