Item was damaged by postal worker..do I open a case with seller?

Hello,

Not sure how to handle this. I ordered some movie lobby cards that were in pristine condition for its age. No bends, creases. Just what I wanted. They arrived fairly quickly too. This is the problem: my apartment building's mailbox is tiny. Most larger packages are delivered to my door by the postal carrier. Except for this one. It was in a larger mailing envelope with cardboard backing, yet the postal worker bent it over and over into a cylandar shape and shoved it into the tiny mail box. When I opened the package, the lobby cards were bent in four ways. Completely ruined. I wrote to the seller asking him why he didn't put do not bend and he wasn't very helpful. He said pretty much to take it up with the post office. I feel so helpless and don't know what to do. Do I open a refund case with eBay about this?
