DATING SPRING RING CLASP ON BRACELET

Can anyone out there help me date this unusual spring ring clasp? In all my years of selling jewelry, I've never seen anything like it. As you can see, the little push knob is turned in a different direction from the usual spring ring and is much wider and flatter. The bracelet has other hallmarks of being a deco piece (it's carnelian or carnelian glass - still not sure), but with so many reproductions out there, it's hard to tell. I think the clasp is the key! Any help would be so much appreciated!SPRINGRING1.jpgSPRINGRING2.jpgSPRINGRING3.jpg

DATING SPRING RING CLASP ON BRACELET

OK, I'll bite and try to help.  With no evidence except 40 years of experience in the trade, my gut says the clasp is old, but not really old.  I would guess 1965ish.  Maybe in the range of 1950 - 1975.

Most spring rings are a 90 degree design like this.  Parallel spring rings are usually for flat chains like herringbones.

Any markings on it?

Thank you for your help! No markings at all unfortunately. I should have told you (and shown) that the bracelet's construction is completely bizarre - it's actually links attached to a chain very much like a herringbone (and the spring ring is attached to the chain). The chain tends to 'kink' like all the older Art Deco chains I've handled. It's one of the nicest bracelets I've ever had, but the construction is so strange (very sinuous and silky). Looks like it might be poured glass, possibly Gripoix.   Thanks again!
