Calling All Machine Age Gurus

A year, or two ago, I posted about a possible, Jakob Bengel bracelet that you all helped me out with.  (Many thanks.)  It turned out to be an authentic, JB piece, albeit, a bit bruised and worn.  (Yay!!!)  I had found it in a big lot of jewelry I had purchased.  Along with that piece, I also found a few other "machine age" looking pieces.  I tossed them aside and I'm just now getting to them.  Two are bracelets, both look very, "machine age," although they do look newer and in better condition than the JB piece...it's hard to say how old they are.

I would love anyone's input about these two bracelets.  Both appear to be chrome-over-brass, with brass accents.  The basket weave one looks older, 20250208_151822[4].jpg20250208_151844.jpg20250208_151922.jpg is hinged and has a screw pin closure and the other one is a bangle and signed W GERMANY.  Both appear to be solid and extremely well made.   I'd love to know the age and possible maker, or any other info that you may have.

Thanks so much,

Cynthia

@auntiekittys

They're probably stainless steel with brass accents. The W.Germany one, I found similar on the bay.

This one is just stamped W. Germany as well no makers mark.

    They look good together,  I would just sell them as a lot.

    I like wearing stainless bangles/ bracelets for everyday. One of mine actually has 14k dots around it!

    As far as a IDing a maker, I wouldn't have a clue but the material points to Stainless steel.

Re: Calling All Machine Age Gurus

Thanks for your input.  I've done more research and examinations and I believe that the one on the left is an older, "machine age" piece.  It is made of chrome over brass and the brass shows through deliberately on the alternating stacked rings. That screw pin closure is definitely a clue.  I went ahead and listed it as such.

The other one with the "W GERMANY" mark is a new and much lighter-weight piece.  I like its look.  It's much shinier and righter than the other one and it may, indeed, be stainless steel with brass accents.  I have not listed it yet.  I'm still looking up some comps.

I appreciate everyone's help.

Thanks again,

Cynthia

Re: Calling All Machine Age Gurus

I would think W germany might refer to the place of origin for the ring, west germany
