Some costume stone questions Cat's Eye? and Japanned-like back

Is this glass made to look like cat's eye or is it something else?  

What are the stones on this one?  I know those are not jelly bellies!!   Also, the back is not blackened so it's not  Japanned but is there a word for this back?  ,It almost looks like tarnished silver.  What are the piecrust looking settings?  Thanks  for all the help

Perhaps it is what some call gunmetal? 

And the large oval looks like  an iridescent cabochon to me

The one you call tarnished looks like bronze and sure is pretty 🙂 The green might be vasoline glass, does it turn under a black light and Glow? It sure is Pretty too 🙂 🙂

The green stone in the first looks more like simulated star sapphire or Czech satin glass.

There are a couple stones and beads named Satin Glass but I did not post that suggestion to start anything. The Satin Glass I am referring to is the older one that looks like folds or draws of satin cloth.

I agree with Crow , the light green stones look like simulated star sapphire .

Some people , especially the old schoolers , call the dark metal hematite metal ( like the gemstone color ) . The more modern term is Gun Metal .

Love the color on the larger oval cabachons , so pretty !
