old vase made into lamp, what type of design is this

Hello, i have an antique lamp that was made from an antique asian vase. it seems like the design is made from removing the red glaze, as the darker color feels raised or thicker then the lighter color which is a greenish cream color, i did not want to take it apart to look for marks on the bottom as im afraid of damaging it. any help will be appreciated

I am going for made in China.   Are you sure it was a vase at first or has it always been a lamp?    Looks a bit like an export item for the western world....    These were popular in the 50's....

thank you for replying no i am not sure it was a vase. but what i find so different is that the lighter color, that makes the art is actually under the outer paint.
