I need to ID this asian pottery or porcelain and mark

Hi I  am trying to id vase. It is about  10.25 " tall and 6" in dia, The pattern on the outside looks and feels like a lizard  skin. It is hand carved and very intricate. Thanks before hand. RAAPHDS

I have same problem. Lots of oriental china, but the "hallmark" has little meaning. Sometimes I look for similar items on (google images) web and hope the page gives more info. I think I once found a refernce site, but no longer have bookmarked. I am sure there are references for this. Certainly appraisers/auction houses have to have references. Maybe I'll call my appraiser who handles these items, and ask.
