What happens when a new old stock item's upc has been reassigned to a new product line and only the newer product line appears in the catalog?

Thank you for the question, excellent use case for this discussion. We will create catalog content for each unique item, including items that share the same GTIN. Sellers will be able to select the correct product when listing their item.

When you say "we will create..." does that mean sellers will be responsible for creating when that functionality is added later this year?

Does the same (different catalog content) apply to current items that all have the same UPC but are different models? It should be interesting to see how that's going to work with Variation listings for those items...

What if the manufacturer of a product only has a product identifier number/ part number and does not use upc gtin. We sell a line of jewelry that does not have these types of codes. We have new old stock of these items. What do you do to continue to be able to list as a new product.?

Many jewelry lines that are not fashion jewelry do not have upc/gtins, they may have part numbers or model numbers. Really need this question answered becausese we have a huge stock of these types of jewlery (fine jewery, not fashion ) That is branded.

Adding we will be loosing a lot of profit for Ebay and ourselves if we cannot get these items into the correct  selling category. We should not list these as used items because they are not.
