It's not a knob, it's big 6" diameter x 4" tall, thnx

It is a manual lowering device from a screw column vertical platform lift that are generally used by the non-ambulatory. This would be used to rescue someone stuck on a lift in the event of a breakdown or power outage. It would be great if it got back where it came from in case it is ever needed.

Thnx so much. Would it be used for an elevator then? We have one. Didn't get any history with the house.
