I am not a "designer" girl. I usually buy what's on clearance. Once in a while I will treat my self. Since I know nothing about the brand, could someone please explain the difference between these two bags?

This isn't an authentication because there's not enough pictures shown and those shown are Coach stock photos but I'll answer the specific question about the difference.
Both items are very similar both in size and style.
The top one with the HAC (horse and carriage logo) is style CE652 and is crossgrain leather.
The bottom one with the "C" logo is style CE724 and is glovetanned (smooth) leather.
Another difference is that the HAC one comes with a removable chain strap whereas the "C" one has a removable leather strap.
