How to get “authentication guaranteed “ on an item that I would like to sell?

You don't get this guarantee until you list your item. Read the article on this. It applies only to certain brands (Chanel, Goyard, Gucci, Prada, LV, Saint Laurent, Fendi, Balenciaga) i have not listed every one, so read the article in the Help section on it. Also, it applies only to listings of these brands $500 and up. That's why it applies only after you list. So, if you list for $1 but your item sells for $500 or more after the auction ends, it applies. If you list for $1 starting bid and you have a BIN for $600, it applies at the start.

You won't ship the bag to the buyer, you ship it to the authentication place which then inspects it, verifies it's authentic and matches the auction description (i.e. you say it's a pristine barely used Fendi bag with no wear and that's what your overexposed photos show, but in real life it's scratched up and looks like a truck ran over it BUT it is an authentic Fendi bag) and if everything matches the auction description, it gets sent to the buyer from there.

So, you can't use this service to authenticate your bag for you before you list it. It happens only if it's one of the covered brands and sells for $500 or more.

Authenticity Guarantee is available for select brands, in new or preowned condition, listed under the bags & handbags category, and sold for USD $500 or more. Auction items are also included in the service if the item sold is one of the eligible brands and sells above $500. The eligible brands for Authenticity Guarantee are Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Hermès, Saint Laurent, Celine, Dior, Prada, Fendi, Goyard, Burberry, Chloe, Valentino, Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Bottega Veneta.

Make sure you accurately describe and photograph your item and follow steps 1‑3.

Meet the eligibility requirements: A new or used handbag within the brands eligible for Authenticity Guarantee, priced at $500 or more.
Select the appropriate Item Condition when you list your handbag:
1. New with tag
  A brand-new, unused item in the original packaging (such as the original packaging/dust bag).
2. New without tags
  A brand-new, unused item that is not in original packaging or may be missing original packaging materials. For example, a new handbag (with absolutely no signs of wear) no longer in the original packaging/dust bag falls into this category.
3. Pre-owned
  An item that has been used, worn, or showing signs of wear. The item may be missing the original packaging materials or accessories. Include full details and description of any imperfections in your listing.
Accurately describe your item in detail and take as many photographs as needed. Ensure that you capture any defects, including tears in the box and any anomalies on the handbag, etc. If using stock images or screenshots, they must include original accessories. If taking your photos, everything pictured will be assumed as included. Accurate documentation & photographs will ensure your item can flow through the authentication process smoothly.
