Help!

Can anyone please help.  I bought this mulberry  bag and although it’s really well made I suspect it’s fake based on the serial number.    Would like your opinions.

Thank you.

Re: Help!

Agree that the seller must make the buyer completely whole to the penny when they’ve illegally sold and shipped a counterfeit.

OP you can send the seller here or just tell them the same. Do not return until they agree in eBay messaging to separately refund you all shipping. They will have to do it in a separate payment as they can’t refund more than they received but I know that I’ll give a seller a slide if they made an honest mistake and you’ll know if they’re honest by their response.

if they refuse to make you completely whole then you should make a claim, escalate as soon as you can and calmly state that you were sold a counterfeit and not made whole.

Hopefully, your seller will do the right thing.

Re: Help!

Not a Mulberry expert and only own one authentic bag but the serial shows up as definitely counterfeit and the stitching sucks IMO so I agree that it’s fake but wait for others.

Sorry this happened. Can you return it?Also, always put the brand you’re asking about in the title so you attract those that know the brand.

Re: Help!

Yes thank you.   That’s a good tip I will do this in future.

And thanks for replying.  I suspected as much tbh.    I am sending back and the seller didn’t argue the return.

Quite dishonest 😟

Re: Help!

Since the seller has agreed to the return, it's not necessary (yet) to open a dispute, but if the seller doesn't agree to cover the return shipping as well is giving you a full refund of the full original payment amount, you can open SNAD, requiring the seller to pay for your return shipping label.

Re: Help!

If both the buyer and seller are in the same country, the seller can purchase a prepaid shipping label (paypal.com/shipnow) and forward it to the buyer to print and attach to the package.

Re: Help!

Ok I will ensure they cover cost of posting it back.     The seller has not apologised in any way but responded with “ok, I’ll refund when returned”.    I’m sensing they knew full well it wasn’t the real thing.

Thank you for all your messages, it’s good knowing I was right in thinking it wasn’t real.
