Help! Please authenticate my MK purse ourchzed from Marshall’s. I’ve been suspended wrongfully.

Please help.  My account has been suspended for seven days wrongfully.  I am beyond frustrated and received no answers after arguing on the phone with a supervisor.  I bought a Michael Kors purse from a Marshall’s store last year.  I never used it and the tags are even still on it.  Please please could an authentication expert help me and provide me with paperwork I can submit to eBay??

You'll need to post a clear photo of the serial date code tag that should be sewn into an inside seam of an authentic MK bag (probably a black tag if after 2016); along with "made in" origin. Without that date code, there's no point paying for a professional authentication, as that would mean it's fake.

Just so you know, although discount/off-price stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx  etc. often have authentic designer goods they can sell cheaper as previous season left-overs, they are also prime targets for scam buyers' switcheroos (returning fakes for refund) during busy buying periods, especially holidays.

I was advised in previous comments to add more pics of serial numbers and date codes.F752FE6B-81BA-466F-97B1-704F74AC9D32.jpeg

OK, I asked the mods to merge this second posting of your topic with the first thread for coherency.

In future, whenever you're asked for more pics, simply post them in reply to the same thread, and  use the camera icon to upload as many as needed in your responses.

Anyway, your pics of the tags seem clear enough for an MK bag specialist to determine if they're legit.  I can only address quality & logo issues, if any.

One more pic we need is a straight on close-up of the logo stamp on the leather patch.

As I'm not really seeing any problems so far, I'm wondering if it was reported as suspicious because your listing had no pics of the date/QR code or 'made in' tags & no clear pics of the inside logo patch.

It's always a good idea to show every authenticating detail possible on any highly faked brand item. Hidden, poorly photographed or omitted details always raise red flags for online buyers of popular brand goods.

I'll hand you off to @albertabrightalberta to advise on how to proceed with obtaining authentication for reinstatement if this was removed by mistake.

Thank you so much. My original sale post on eBay didn’t include all of the pics it should have. I now know that I didn’t put enough into it. I should have but I’m newer to eBay and didn’t supply enough info about the handbag. Thank you so much for helping. I’ll attach a closer pic of the logo on the leather.

While waiting for that pic of the logo patch, I wanted to find out if there were any authentication services that specialized in MK bags and recognized by eBay.  Authenticators R US  describe themselves as "the number one website for Michael Kors", that being their original specialty.

I know nothing about them, so can't "recommend" per se, but it can't hurt to give them a try for the chance of getting your eBay account cleared up.

They have a phone number on their site as well, so you can call first and explain that it's for an eBay listing removal that you hope to have reversed & your account reinstated if they can determine your bag is genuine & wrongly removed.

You definitely got wrongly suspended. There is no doubt this is an authehntic MK Jet Set Outlet bag from 2016.  Has the correct lining, stitching , label, tags, even  the price tag is fine and perfect as should be, with the serial number on the bag matching the number on the price tag.

This is scary, that A. someone would report this. It couldn't have been Vero since they'd recognize their own bag, and B. that eBay takes just any old reports and suspends a seller's account for no reason! seriously??

The thing about MK, is they have several different collections, and each one has it own distinct markings. There is a huge difference between the outlet and boutique bags. The main difference is the lining patterns and label how it is sewn on and shaped. MK has at least five different lining patterns! This one in the photos, the honeycomb patter, a solid pattern and a suede lining, not to mention the larger circular pattern!

And then there is their 'MICHAEL KORS Collection' and their 'Michael by Michael Kors' oollection, and here again, completely different linings, labels , and tags.

The MICHAEL KORS Collection is their highend luxury line with bags over $1000.00 to $10,000.00 and they often have metal logos in them , instead of a leather heat stamp, and completely different linings! many in suede. Often using real alligator, real python, real crocodile , calf or deer hide fine leathers

.

The 'Micheal By Michael Kors Collection' is there regular line that everyone can afford. All of their saffiano leather bags are in this collection. And any python or crocodile is EMBOSSED, not genuine as in the 'Michael kORS Collection'.

Unless one is familiar with all of these collections?? They have no business trying to determine what is authentic or not. And I haven't gone into the years variances! Good grief, it seems like they change everything, every other year! They are one of the hardest bags to keep up with because of having FOUR completely different collections. So how is it, everyone's an expert and reporting these bags? WOW!

This is scary! Really makes one think twice about selling any designer bags on eBay anymore, don't it??

Sorry this hapened to you and hope you get it resolved . Your bag is totally authentic and it's just not fair because you didn't do anything wrong, and if it's any comfort? They've been doing this to a lot of sellers lately with perfectly authentic handbags, so you're in good company.
