not what I bought

I ordered a 6v transformer.  It is  labeled a 6 v but it checks out to be 32V  Purchased from Super Terrific Imports

I see the transformer you bought is labeled 6 Vdc is that is what is on your label? though 32v is quite high for open-circuit voltage, you could try and put a 6 or 12-volt lamp across the output then measure it again when it is loaded. Generally, I've only seen open-circuit on 6vdc transformers to be in the 9-12volt range. also, did you verify it was 32VDC or AC? or maybe both.
