I do miss some older technology. A nice rotary/push button desk phone is one of them.

Always like the phones attached to the walls, they couldn't walk off so you always knew where they were.

Yes. It's just not as satisfying to hang up on someone with a smart phone. I miss those old bakelite? rotary phones one could slam down the handset and not break. So satisfying.
I guess I could always throw my smart phone down when getting a spam call if I were rich.............

😂I would agree that there is something about hanging up on someone with a smart phone that does not feel as satisfying.

My phone isn't that smart, but then again it is probably just me.

Back in the day our phone had no dial/no keypad.
Just pick it up and wait for Donna to pick up in the phone office.

Also party lines. We always lived in rural settings. Party lines were the bad part. My stepdad would set the phone by the TV and turn it up when one of the parties would stay on the phone forever. LOL.
My mom used to work for Ma Bell and somewhere I have a picture of her at work plugging in those lines to connect people. Back when almost everyone had a job.
