Ipad I just bought

I just got this in the mail today from the seller. It shows shadowing on the side. Can someone tell me this normal?

Is the IPad fully charged? There might be a problem with the screen. Message the seller with your concerns.

He accepted a return. I mailed back the item. I put it near the mailbox inside my building where I always do with pickups. The problem is I think the USPS picked it up by mistake! UPS was supposed to pick it up. What happens now? He said he didn't get it and it wasnt shipped. 😞
