Faulty Item under guarantee

 Hi,

I bought a mobile phone less than 6 months ago on ebay which included guarantee. However, the item stopped working after 2 months and the seller has not replied my emails.  Any advise how I can report the seller with ebay?

Unfortunately, eBay only offers a 30-day money back guarantee from date of receipt. Even if your seller was an authorized cell phone retailer it would be difficult to invoke the warranty.

If you paid using PayPal and it is still within 180 days of purchase date you could open a case with them but keep in mind that you would have to return it at your cost with online viewable tracking which can be quite expensive especially since you are on an island in the Indian ocean.

What is the problem with the phone? defective or has it been blacklisted?

Thanks for the reply. It is defective, the screen does not response to my touch. I have to use a wireless mouse to operate it. Guess I have to buy another phone and use this one for its screen only.
