Sharing about lost money for Assurant Protection Plan.
I had purchased a cell phone and also the 2 yr Assurant Protection Plan. Before I had my cell phone for 1 year, it fell off my kitchen counter and the screen cracked. I went to Assurant's website and filed a claim, patently waited the 10 days and not a word. Then went back and chatted with an online rep, who stated that unless it was a surge that my cell phone is not covered. Called & email, because that information was not in that listing for the protection plan. They said it should be covered to contact Assurant again. I made several calls to different phone numbers. I finally emailed Assurant, and received an email stating to contact the seller or eBay about cell phone damage. The irony is, they are the seller. Save your money, do not purchase their plans for cell phone. Not sure on the other plans, but keep your money on the cell phone protection plan. So this is so long, but after 6 plus hours of doing this I want everyone to know what a dishonest scheme they run.
