Thanks for asking about my tattoo ...

It was a great experience ... my first in a tattoo shop!  I have 6 other tattoos which were all done by a personal family friend who owns a tattoo shop in Chicago but comes to the Pacific Northwest to visit ... we all line up to have work done by her.

However, this time ... I have been pondering the tattoo since last summer and decided to research local shops and found a great one owned by a tattoo artist from Texas who has been here for 6 years.  His shop is very cool and the experience was excellent.

I have attached a photo of the fresh tattoo ... which will look slightly different when it heals ... redness and swelling is sure apparent in the photo.

What do you think of my new tattoo??

Don't worry about reducing the size. It makes it very easy to see. I really like it. This is probably not what you had in mind but when I look at it I can't help but think of a baby. There's something about the pink of your skin and the blue of the tattoo...it's so soothing to look at. And pretty.

Today is a good day for me too. My Dad stopped by yesterday just to give me a hug...but he also brought over some of my favorite foods...3 different kinds of seafood and a package of perogi. He visited until my voice gave out.

Thanks for your comments on my tattoo ... the color is a little more blue then I had anticipated ... we were trying to match the color of my other wrist tattoo ... kind of missed the teal mark but I am not unhappy with the outcome.  It needs a wee bit of tweaking ... which will happen when I go back to the shop in another week or two. 

Today is a good day for me ... I bought three belt buckles for ten bucks a piece ... I rarely spend that much!  However, these buckles were pretty cool so I paid the price.  They are all on auction ... right now I have bids on two of them and have more then made my money back!  Woo-hoo!

A long time ago I went through every single member's listings. I haven't done that in a long time and I'm going to have to do it again. Kate, you have quite an assortment of items up for auction. Those belt buckles are very nice.

Yeah, those belt buckles were a find!  Funny that no one has bid on the Maine buckle yet though!

This is a good day for me ...

I walked a LONG while this morning ... just as day was breaking ... not really a sun rise to see because of all the clouds.  Nonetheless ... it was a fantastic walk!

Today I step outside my comfort zone ... break my routine ... to embark on a new journey.

Today I am going to attend my first meeting of The Friday Writer's Club at a Senior Center.  I am excited, nervous and a bit scared ... but willing to embrace change!

I like your tattoo. I have always loved seeing GOOD tattoo art.
When I had cable TV I used to love watching the show where make over the messed up ugly tats into something really nice, well MOST of the time 🙂 Look forwarding to seeing the final work after the tweaks and healing. That has to be a sensitive area. OUCH!

My store should start looking like yours soon. My mother-in-law is going to move into a senior living home some time this year. She has LOT of very nice things. My Christmas present to her was ebay valet service 🙂
