Rhonda-
I like to answer people honestly and not paint them a pretty picture when that's not what I see. But do remember I am a novice!! Much moreso than you are so my FB may not be the best. This is what I saw:
Alittle too much light on the vacuum in the lighter pictures and the darker ones were abit distorted too. And maybe your logo print on the pictures could be hiding some of the item that you want people to see. I know it's good for advertising but maybe not for smaller items such as these.
I hear so much about light boxes and read about them in my Ebay Bible...He talks about digital pictures taking the best shots when it comes to light. He gives a website for detailed info. about digital camera features, price and picture quality. It is http://www.dpreview.com I don't know if it's still available bit may help to check it out. He says to; avoid using a flash, use white balance feature on your camera to reduce the hot lighting and create a more cool, blue tone and set camera at a pixel resolution of 640x480 or higher. He says to position clip on lamps w/ 100 watt halogen, above and to the sides and make sure they are slightly in front of the item (avoid lighting from behind). He talks about shiney items such as jewelry and says to point the light sources way from the item and onto white or metallic sheets of poster board. Diffused light illuminates the item without glare or harsh shadows.
Oh geesh!! he goes on and on and I get alittle more confused each time I read it. But maybe it will help to check out this website and see what it says. I've probably written too much but I hope you can find some help. It's tough to get good pictures and that's what helps a item to sell.
Keep practicing and you'll get it, girl....

I couldn't edit my last post but I need to add to; NOT go the website I mentioned because it's nothing but confusion h-ll. You're better off to get on a PC world forum. I find those people really nice.

Thanks Janet, I know I'm not happy with the vacuum pic at all.
I have a light box, the lights, tri pod & all the crap. Still so hard for me to get the color right on the close up pictures the white always looks off, I have to adjust the color big time on most it sucks. I don't know how they get them looking so nice with out the background showing....one day I'll figure it out. I have like 2000 more pictures to take when I get the time and tolerance to do it lol.
One of the biggest problems for me is people think they are larger since the pictures have to be so big on ebay.
Anyway's pictures aside I was wanting to know if the Infomation was clear and set up ok. Slowly getting ride of old templets and editing info a bit.

The info. all looked good. I wish I could help you with your photos but I'd be the last one with any help!!! I can't even figure how to shut my flash off my camera.. Whoa!!!
If you set a coin or something shiney next to your items to give people an idea of the size, you could pick up a glare from that. Maybe try putting a tape measure behind of under the item.
I wish you luck because I know this can all be such a headache.

Besides needing to figure out how to shut off my camera flash... can anyone give me anything on international shipping? I had a buyer message me asking if I could ship one of my items to Australia. I did read the restrictions for Australia and only used clothing is a no..no but this item is new. I just can't find the shipping costs and told the person I'd get back with them.
Another ?, is it good for a business to sell internationally? So darn much to learn......
As always...Thanks, Janet

We had a mail order business for 60+ years. Created catalogs and brochures every day.
Took all our own pictures.
One thing we learned about pictures. A real good time to take pictures is outside when its cloudy. A light color piece of cloth under the items.
We kinda need to do it either early in the day or late before sun down. The pictures come out good that way most times.
Try doing them outside see how it works for ya. :^O

Rhonda ... your listing looks good .. although could I suggest you add the measurements in your description ... I know you photo'd by a nickel and most people would get that ... but there are those who want to know dimensions.
Otherwise ... your listing looks good ... you certainly have all your terms lined out nicely.

I have a light box too ... a tent set up that my son bought me ... it also has different colored fabrics for backdrops. I hardly ever use a flash ... before I got the tent set up ... I used to take pictures outside ... out of the sun. Working indoors is easier though and I have a good routine set up. I photograph on Mondays ... that can sometimes mean taking over 100 photos ... I take many shots ... now that pics are free ... I tried to shoot from every angle so the buyer can see what I'm selling.

I'm having major problems and now I'm so confused and stressed my hair is literally falling out...
I'm a novice to computers as well as selling and am having a problem with my browser (maybe)?? When I log in to my ebay in answer to a potential buyer, etc.. I can't bring up my group page, it says I'm a visitor. Unless I log in to ebay using the https can I get everything like this group. Anyone know what could be going on?
Oh Geesh!!! Janet

Ok.. forget my question pertaining to the https and signing in to my ebay. I have a bigger problem now. Here it goes. Are ya ready?
I chose not to ship internationally. I had a prospective buyer message if I could ship to him in Australia. I found the shipping costs and tried to change my listing/s to where I'd ship internationally but it isn't showing up on my listings.
And.. don't tell anyone this. Ok?. It's our secret but what the heck are the U.S. protectorates and APO/FPO? Someone said I do want to ship to them and to Hawaii and Alaska. I'm totally confused and can't change my acct. so to ship to these places and do I want to? There's more to this than I thought and it's stressing me so much and I need to get busy listing.
Any help would be so very appreciated...
The great niave novice..... Janet

Janet,
Each listing you do you have an option for an exclusion list ... just check all the places you do NOT want to send to and your listing will only show in the places you choose.
APO/FPO are military addressees ... I don't ship to them personally ... nor out of this country. I don't ship to the US Protectorates either ... I think that is like Puerto Rico, etc.
There is another military address that is called a DPO ... only comes up rarely. The way the lady explained to me it is mail that goes to a US address and then gets shipped overseas ... I sold to one DPO address once in 8 years. So like I said it doesn't come up often.
I get people message me if I will ship overseas ... I always say no. Too costly and it means a trip to the post office I think as it needs additional paperwork.
Hope some of that helps.

Yes, it does help. It's really too much work to ship overseas. But I think I may do Canada???
Have a beautiful day, Kate.....

There is a lot to be said about shipping worldwide ... you do reach a bigger market. But, for me ... well, the US is just fine ... I can do all my shipping from home ... my mailman picks up the packages from my front porch and I don't have to hassle with customs paperwork or such. Just saying ...

For taking pictures, I have found that "Daylight", "Hobby", or "Natural Lighting", etc. flouresences take the "yellow" out of photos.
I have plenty of time on my hands.....if anyone needs help with photos, listings, your website, etc.......just ask.
