That's great that you two ... Janet and Jim ... live close enough that you could actually meet one day.
How nice of you to offer to help Janet out with Auctiva ...

Are you kidding me??? You'd do that and come to Cedar Rapids to help? I would love that and especially to meet you.
Anyone is welcome in our home. Well.....almost everyone! After the New Year would be good and I have your gas money.
My respitory therapist came yesterday and tried me on a different Bi-pap mask so maybe that will help feed my brain what it's lacking.. ?:|
Enjoy your granddaughter and we'll keep in touch. Thanks so kindly Jim.

I have about 4 little boxes with earrings I need to mail out sing 1st class USPS. Can anyone tell me how I can possibly print such a small shipping label on Paypal. It's not ebay items so I can't ask them and when I called Paypal, the man was not very patient and talked so fast. I just figured I'd ask on here. I thought he said I couldn't pay and ship thru Paypal with such a small label and would have to go to the post office. I need to mail these out by tomorrow.
Yea.. I'm stressing about this.. 😞
Thanks to you all in advance.. Janet

Hi Janet,
What I've done in the past is put the little box in a big envelope. That way the label fits.

We got a box of those padded bubble mailers at the Dollar Store 5 for a $1.00 They work great.
Also really like the picture of the beautiful trees.
Bet they are loaded with happy birds

Glad it worked out. The fall colors were beautiful! Much better than last year and the year before. Now I'm waiting for the first snow so I can change the pix to that.
Birds...yup...lots of them. The wood peckers are being particularly destructive this year. I've got a big hole in the side of the house and even with the 8 foot ladder, there's no way I'm going to try to get up there and patch it.
Don't know when the birds are going to head south. Last year in November there were flocks flying over. Haven't seen or heard any this year. Maybe it's going to stay warm. Or maybe the birds figure since the world is coming to an end on the 21st, why waste the energy. 😉

Every year the migrating birds stop here and rest for a day or so. We are close to the ocean. In the middle of a golf course.
When they built and re-built this golf course they always left all the big old Beautiful Florida Oaks Trees and others that are hundreds of years old. Then they planted certain vegatation for the birds. We are also right next to a bird sanctuary here. It is now government land that will be this way forever.
So the migrating birds tend to stay here a while. This year we had zillions of Robins come thru a long time ago. Blue Jays, crows, Canadian Geese and many others have stopped by here then flew off.
We have feeders all over the place and bird baths full of water. Some birds will stay here forever once they stop by.
Over the years they all multiplied into what looks like bird heaven here. It makes me a happy old fella all the time just being out there wathching them.
Woodpeckers drive the woman next door nuts. For some reason they leave us alone. Most of ours are the Woody Woodpecker type. They really make a lot of noise.
Take care enjoy the fall,
DWB

Winter has arrived...2 weeks early...18 degrees this morning.
Got a question regarding listings. When I logged on this evening I saw that eBay says free listings end December 16. Does that mean for everybody? Or just the free buy it now? Are we still going to get our 50 free listings each month?
12-12-2012 02:55 AM
I was wondering the same thing about the 50 FREE auction listings. The message was very vague. Made it sound like we should have already known about it.
Many of us need the 50 FREE auctions a month.
Wow 18 degrees. We been in the 80s here in Florida. Usually in the 30s and 40s this time of year.
Snuggly weather with kitties where you are. 😄

I guess I didn't read this announcement but it reminded me of my question as to why I seem to pay so much in fees and yet list so little.
I also want to say, "Hi' to you all and wish you a Merry Christmas. I've been fighting a 3 day flu bug and just getting back on my feet and finding it not a good time to list with planning for Christmas. It's too much for me and get's me overwhelmed. But after the New Years, I'm going full force ahead!!
Wishing you all a whole lotta sales!!!!

Hi Janet. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I'm at the point where I am selling so few items that if I have to pay to list them, I won't be able to afford to do it. All of my motorcycle parts have been listed since 2010 and I just keep throwing them up, hoping somebody will buy them. They do sell but if I had to pay each time I listed them, I'd go broke because they aren't worth much.

Many of us need the extra income. If ebay isn't doing it for us maybe we can come up with something by putting our heads together (foggy or not) 🙂
