Salad Serving Bowl??? ID Help

I found this bowl and think it is pretty unique... What terms would you use to figure out the ID of this? I tried looking at salad serving bowl with metal rim but I feel like I am calling it the wrong thing... Ideas?

the diameter and height measurements will tell you it's use.condition of the metal ie ,is it solid metal , chromed, pitted, plated, any maker marks? .looks like there is a holder for condiments..salt, pepper, vinegar, or oil? what would fit in the 2 very small metal fittings near the top of the handle.what is the bump along the rim? the pattern resembles a mix of prescut , aroroc,(sorry for spelling on that), and fostoria etc design elements.the pattern in the base might be a makers mark.
