Old man & sea on canvas

Hi everyone! Would anyone know anything about this painting. Searched forever on the internet and came up empty handed. 

Has a nautical ropes framing on it and is signed Jenkins. Thanks so much for your help!!! Sweets_6

There are many variations of this painting, with different "old sea captains" in the sky and different ships on the water.  

It's what we used to call "sofa art" or "hotel art," a factory painting.  Therefore, the name painted on it doesn't matter, because the names are chosen at random and copied by the people on the assembly line who produce these.  

So, its value is as a decorative piece only.  With the rope border and general subject matter, someone will like it for that use.  You can check completed listings to get an idea of what you might reasonably expect to get for on eBay.  Keep in mind that is is very expensive to ship a painting.

Two things, it looks very new and two, is that Captain Crunch from the breakfast cereal box?

Cap'n Crunch was probably the model for the captain in the painting, though I don't see the resemblance.
