JOHN McIVER WATERCOLOR - WHAT IS THE AW3 NEXT TO SIGNATURE?

I got this painting out of my mom's storage unit while looking for things we can sell to build her a nest egg. I had someone ask me what the AW3 next to his signature means & I was stuck. Can anyone tell me?
