I read that book by Dale Carnige when I was a teenager. It greatly improved my ability to bust my friends chops. And be a more effective phoney to people I didn't like or wanted something from. However living in NYC had already given me a big head start in being a jerk or a phoney depending on the situation.

No one who meets me for the first time ever likes me I have a personality that has to grow on you. Eventually you love me or else you hate me enough to want to kill me.
