I've had this for as long as I can remember, don't know where I obtained it. Is it an actual coin, or just a piece of jewelry? It's approximately the size between an American quarter and a half dollar. When I drop it on the counter it has that familiar silver 'ring' to it rather than other types of metal. Any help would be appreciated. I don't know if the jewelry ring was added after it was made or during it's making. The pictures below are of both sides of the coin, they look identical. Thanks again.

It is a jewelry copy of a coin of the Roman emperor Commodus. From the wear and corrosion it doesn't look like silver or any other precious metal, so probably an inexpensive souvenir item.
