Europa C&O #372 - DUCHY URBINO - SESINO - 1575 to 1624.

25 de Junio 2018:  Greetings to all coin collectors, where-ever you might be!  Heron is pleased to report another neat acquisition to the Europa Central & Oest small accumulation.  This is number 372.

This coin has been on Heron's want list since December 2017.   Some of youse might recall that Heron 'discovered' a web site chock full of Italiano coin issuing entities.  Urbino was one a those entities.

This is a 'no date' coin but it still counts!   One positive thing about some a these 'no date' coins is that some are CHEEP!

The coin: Duchy of Urbino - Sesino - Copper - 1575/1624 - 18mm dia.

Obverse: Crowned shield Coat of Arms Urbino.

                    Legend: F.M.II.VRB.DUX.VI.ET.COUNT.

[Translation: Francesco Maria II  Sixth Duke Urbino & Count]

Reverse:           SE

                          SINO            Surrounded by fancy cartouche.

**A very nice achievement to find a 'want list' item 6 months after adding the item to the 'want list'...!   And this is the 1st item off the new 'want list' of Italiano coins.

It appears that many of the Italiano items will be 'no date' items.  However, they all will count towards the total.   And that is really what 'counts' on this collecting segmento of elHeron.   [Heron uses the woid Italiano to give readers a 'place name'.   As we know, there was NO Italy until 1861].   And the collecting continues!

This is a great hobby for a lifetime.  And still a fun hobby! **
