Heron is pleased to report the addition of #371, an item issued in Zellerfeld Germania. It is a Copper Muenzenmeisterpfennige dated 1722. Probably will be
the only Muenzenmeisterpfennige for the accumulation. An example!
The Item: Zellerfeld Muenzenmeisterpfennige - Copper - 1722.
Side 1: Stag in oval. Surrounding is fancy cartouche.
Legend: I. A. BRAUNS. K. GR. BR. A. G. U. F. BR.LUN. MUNTZ. COMISSAR.ZZ.
Side 2: 3 flowers in vase. Surrounding is fancy cartouche.
Legend: I. G. TOPFFER. K. G. BR. A. G. U. F. BR.LUN. MUNTZ. COMISSAR.ZZ. Dated 17-vase-22.
Note: Heron believes BR.LUN is for Braunschweig-Luneburg.
Note: Zellerfeld was small iron ore mining town in Harz area.
Note: Mining began in 16th Century.
Note: Zellerfeld was merged into Clausthal 1924. Now Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
Note: Modern 'wire rope' was invented by Engineer Wilhelm Albert in mid 1830s.
For use in mines in the Harz Mountains.

Krazy stuff happens when the repair truck is near our location.
