They're not sequins and are applied directly to the material. The surface is smooth & reflective.

When purchasing this type of fabric it is called faux sequin. Illusion of sequins.

Faux sequins..... I like that! I did some research earlier & came across "Spangles" but didn't know if that is what I have. Thanks, I'll use your suggestion.
