Re: tracking number issues

Hi. Welcome to eBay! Look at your purchase history, find the purchase you seek and look just to the left of the Item Price. That is where the tracking number should be. I am using a desktop computer, so if you are using another type of device then the number location may be shifted. In any case, you should see it in the purchase history. If not there, then click on 'View Order Details' and it will most definitely be there, if they used one. The BEST thing to always do is to send a message to the seller - when a seller does something you don't understand or don't like or used phrases that make you have questions or even if you are just curious about an item you want to buy. Most good sellers love communicating with their buyers. I hope this helps!

Re: tracking number issues

@roshancraft_sl,

eBay does not require sellers to use tracking when they ship items, though most sellers do use tracking to avoid having an item not received dispute filed against them.

Since you are located in Sri-Lanka most of your purchases will probably be from high volume chinese sellers, but even if you buy from sellers in other countries, you need to check the feedback profile page of each seller you intend to buy from, before you make a purchase.

    You do that by clicking in the number in (  ) to the right of their username.  Yours is (5).   On the page that opens, if the seller has received negative or neutral comments, you can click on the numbers of those to read only those comments.  Keep in mind that ebay's best high volume sellers will have a feedback percentage of 99.6% or better, Those who have less than a 98.6% rating should be avoided.  If you check the feedback profile pages of the sellers you have bought from so far, there is only 1 that that is near the lower point of having an acceptable percentage. The others all fall below that point.

Messaging high volume sellers often results in no response.  If you have an issue or question and  do not receive a reply with two days from the seller, either find a seller who will reply, or if there is an issue use ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG) to file the appropriate dispute.  There is a link to the MBG on most listing pages.  Use the buttons on the page that opens to get specific information and the time frames for using the MBG.
