Tracking number problem for Case #5274088657

I received a wrong item from seller and the buyer would not resolve the problem so you eBay stepped in.  eBay sent me a message telling me to return the item to seller using provided return label which I did.  On the return label that eBay provided was USPS with tracking # 9302 0205 8550 0055 9038 72.  On USPS's web sit it says tracking # 9302 0205 8550 0055 9038 72 was delivered to in/at mail box July 26 2021 at 3:26 PM.  eBay sent me 2 emails asking for tracking number info at which both times in interred USPS tracking # 9302 0205 8550 0055 9038 72.  Both times eBay said that the USPS tracking #   9302 0205 8550 0055 9038 72 is not recognized.  USPS web site shows the item delivered so i am wondering what's going on with eBay.  I am so unhappy with the seller who was basically calling me a lair, even after providing a picture of item with shipping document.  But now I am getting the felling that I am going get screwed over completly.

This is a member to member discussion board and not eBay.  As ed8108 has mentioned, you will need to contact eBay.

Not having to return anything bought on this site for several years, I have to ask if the tracking number was clickable in the Resolution Center console.  If it was the information you receive comes secondhand through Pitney Bowes, ebay's shipping partner.

  If you actually used the usps.com site and it shows delivery.  Contact ebay through FaceBook.   The reps there should be able to run the tracking number through the USPS system to see the delivery info.  You do not have to type the number with its spaces, just type all 22 characters w/o breaks or copy and paste it then delete the spaces.

Completely stop talking to the seller @olifone and just enter this number instead into your returns details page, without any spaces.

420  +  seller's 5-digit zipcode  +  tracking number

Check the number first at the USPS website, to see that it works. eBay will see that it's delivered, and issue your refund without involving the seller.
