Ok so i bought an overpriced, scalped LimitedRunGames item (and if anyone knows, scalping their products can get you banned from purchasing on their site, i may have to warn them of this user)
but a user i bought a item on for $50+ just $20 more than the retail (thankfully it wasn't 150+ or 200+ like the other Jerk Scalpers who buy in mass to artificially inflate a products price)
listed the item as shipped even tho it takes LGR roughly over 2 months for them to make the product alone, And then quickly blocked communication from me... should i be worried? Was i just scammed? They have a positive review but recently their getting negative reviews claiming they are a scammer. And while Ebay claimed i would have money back guarantee, thats suddenly now vanished As i waited over 2 weeks for The a product... is this allowed?
—-i should clarify, i think the seller is trying to annoy me to just cancel the item so he can resell it at a Much Higher price, has he only made a $20 increase scalping it and im sure he was hoping to hit $90 or $140 for it... but i WON it at bid for roughly $50....
So i ask, if not The reason, then why does ebays system make it easier for scammers? (Allowing purchasers to be blocked, allowing ppl to label an item shipped when it has not & denying customers the ability to leave a negative review after 2 weeks) it seems the system is designed for scammers to take exploit if thats the case...
anyways whats ur thoughts? And if i was scammed, how should i get revenge since they made some info public?

Seller is getting more and more negative reviews claiming they are scamming, im sure he blocked me cuz its no coincidence i can message the word “HELLO” to every other seller except them.
with everything going on in my life for the 2 two years and as or recent trying desperately to find my dog. I decided screw it: i got so much stress causing me seizures;
from hence fourth im going to risk my money now to crack down on Limited Run Game SCALPERS/SCAMMERS Cuz the official website doesn't care despite them breaking their rules (half the time they turn a blind eye cuz their desperate to move product) and ebay allows them to break their rules. With the info thanks to you all, I will use it to try and shutdown these **bleep** operations that double as scamming & scalping. And im using an alt account so they cannot catch me if they read this post. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!

Open a PayPal case.

Was it shipped or not?
Did you get a tracking number?
Did you receive the item?
I am confused. You say a lot about buying an item you think was overpriced. But then you don't say what happened after the seller marked the item "shipped". Was it shipped or not?
Also, if they put you on their blocked list, you can still communicate with them regarding this order. This sounds fishy, but tbh, what matters is what happens to your order. Did the seller ship or not? Did you get tracking? What does it indicate? These things are what really matter.

Thats a good idea but sadly i made the transaction directly through ebay hoping its Money Back Guarantee was safer, i guess i learned my lesson.

What was the estimated delivery date? You have thirty days from the estimated delivery date to file a claim with Ebay. If you waited longer than that, Ebay can't help you. Their timelines are cast in stone. Ebay's MBG is excellent, but you have to be aware of the timelines to file.
If you paid using Paypal you can file a claim with them. They allow 180 days from the purchase date.

You want to warn the site of this user but you also bought from them knowing it wasn't allowed so I don't think I'd report them...just my opinion as you are also guilty if violating the policy by purchasing.
It also appears to be digital content which based on the circumstances particularly here it was against eBay policy. If it were me I'd file with PayPal

Purchasing 2nd hand isn’t against LRG’s site policy. However scalping is.

The seller marked the item as shipped but admitted they did not. As it takes roughly 2 months in production. The seller did send me one message after checking the item as shipped. After this message they quickly blocked communication from me:
heres the message
”hi ! thank you for purchasing the limited run item , i am waiting for shipping from limited run but as soon as they send shipping info i will send it your way thank you again and i have marked it as shipped please let me know if you need anything else again thank you and take caesar be safe out there”

It is not digital content. It is not against the rules to buy 2nd hand, only aginst the rules if you scalp. Plz don't post if you don’t know what you are talking about.

Directly through ebay, credit card.

This is good advice. I wasn’t aware of the limit being so short.

Well with eBay policy if the pre-order item is over 30 days it violates eBay policy so If it takes a few months still violates eBay policy how the seller had it.
I saw where limited run has digital content and based on the violation for selling it I figured it was digital
I'm not sure how a company can legally prevent someone from reselling non digital content. As once you buy a hard copy of something generally it's yours to do with as you please because of the first sale doctrine.
I would still file a case to get my money back but if it's not digital you can start with filing with eBay

Limited run games doesn't sell digital content Their slogan is Forever Physical. Not one listing has digital content. They ban scalpers, ppl who order in mass and quickly put a listing up here on ebay chargin 4x or higher. The item isn't even in their possession at that point, Thus they can deny service.
honest collectors like me get screwed by these scalpers all the time, But it seems this scalper may have found a newer way to take advantage of collectors.
thank you for the help tho, im sorry if im acting like a jerk, just struggling with the stress of it all. Is there a number i can contact? Should i send ebay the Message I got from the seller where they admitted lying about shipping the item?
07-26-2020 03:28 PM
I should clarify there was no tracking number, it was just listed as “shipped” i tried contacting em but i keep getting an “error plz try again” message, this doesn’t happen with any other sellers, just this one, so im sure im blocked, and all their now recent negative reviews are claiming they are a scammer.
so i did file a thing, claiming i still haven’t received the item as it seems that is the only way to bypass the sellers block feature, been 2 days since, still no response...
