Return Issue

Order #  22-12174-20674

I placed an order on 10/13 and immediately canceled after order within ebay.

 I shortly thereafter I received a message saying order could not be canceled because it was shipped on the 12th. Which makes no sense, it was shipped before I ordered it???  After correspondence with the seller who was very slow to respond; he sent an email saying the order would be canceled. The order was shipped anyway.  Again having to correspond with the seller, he then accepted the return and a return label was sent to me on Oct 18th, saying I have until Nov 1st to send it item back.  On Oct 21st, I took the item to the UPS store for return.  Please see attached receipt.  It has now been 10 days and  the order in the ebay system still shows awaiting shipment.  I am at a loss on what to do now.  The UPS store shows a tracking number and then says "contact amazon for status"  I called the UPS store and was told to contact amazon.  Amazon was not able to help me.  The seller is not responding to me now.  Please help me.IMG_0426.JPEG

Return Issue

@greenpeach1,

There are several issues you are dealing with in your post, I'll answer them 1 by 1.

"Order #"

Only ebay employees can access order number details. Those of us who reply to issues on these boards are not ebay employees but are volunteers mostly experienced buyers and sellers who try to help people with issues using the site.

If you bought paid for the item on the 13th in the eastern time zone, According to ebay time it was still the 12th in Ca.  If your seller uses a drop shipper that has an automated system (Amazon in this case) the label may have been created immediately, which ebay considers to be shipped, though it has not actually left the place where the label was created. That is why your cancellation could not be done.

Your seller may have been slow to respond if it was late at night in their timezone when you placed the order. If as I think, they did not get the message in time possibly the next morning, to stop Amazon from processing the order, they might not have known how to cancel the order once a label was created.

  Did you only ask the seller for a cancellation? Or did you file through ebay,  and did they send a message that shows up on Your My ebay page or messages as a cancellation request, with an attatchment for the shipping label?  If there is a notice in your purchase history or on your My ebay page showing that a return label was sent you should be able to upload the tracking number to it, in a reply, which will show the item was sent back.

   You should also immediately reply to the seller through the contact seller, with the receipt showing it was returned. Your receipt does not show the actual tracking number so you may want to call or go to your USP office with the shipping receipt, and get the actual tracking number to upload to ebay or when you contact Amazon again.

Not being an Amazon user, I do not know what their policies are regarding an item that was probably shipped using Amazon's "Fulfilled By Amazon (FBA) drop shipping service" that is used by many ebay sellers. Try contacting Amazon again, tell them You were an ebay buyer, who bought an item sent by their FBA system and ask if they can track it that way using the DhnfHplLxRRMA number. You may have to contact your UPS store to get an actual tracking number

If the package arrived and there was a "A gift for you" receipt in the package. Then you need to tell Amazon that the seller violated their policies about arbitrage.
