Issue with Returning Item

I bought an item, and its condition was not fully disclosed, and seller accepted return. However I can't print a label for return because the seller refunded before I could do so and now the return is closed. The seller is asking me to return the item but I am unable to due to the refund being closed. What am I to do?

If you opened an 'official' return, the seller had 2 choices. 

1.) have buyer ship item back

2.) refund buyer

Obviously the seller chose the latter, closing the return/refund.

You are not responsible to do anything at this time, but if you want to send it back you now have 2 choices

1.) buy your own label and ship it back

2.) tell the seller what they did, what they did wrong, and if they still want the item back, snail mail you a prepaid label.

Another option to suggest to the seller if they want the item back is for them to send you another label, saving it as a PDF or img and attaching it to a message through the order.  

You shouldn't have to put out any money to send it back on your own dime because of the seller's error in issuing the refund.

I recently switched an order.  The buyers agreed to exchange items.  I purchased each of them a shipping label from Pirate Ship so the orders could be exchanged.  

With eBay Messaging you are not allowed to send a PDF file.  I save the label as a picture file (JPG) and sent the labels that way.  

Also if you are within two weeks of the paid purchased you are allowed to exchange your actual eMails and you could send a PDF this way.
