How do foreign tracking numbers work?

Bought an item shipping from Taiwan. Had to ask them when they would send and they gave me a tracking number. Of course USPS shows purchased but that's it since it still has to travel the world, but I try other online tracking websites and they just load forever. I messaged them again how to track and just got a please wait message, so are they just not dropping it off, do they not entry scan items that go on large ships, or is the only way I can see it once it gets to USA?

What carrier was the tracking number associated with?   UPS, DHL, etc.?   I don't think a seller located in Taiwan can purchase a USPS postage label.  Is there a tracking number posted to your order or available in your purchase history?

The number they provided begins with RG and ends in TW, which after lots of googling is traveling by air, which they don't usually scan entry? and from Taiwan. Only on my phone under the number did it say Chunghwa Post, but that does not give any results either.

I typed it in with only the numbers and as a whole with alphabet, says nothing exists. USPS says created but not (obviously) in the system. Thats why I'm asking this question I can't get these other sites to see it even existing.

When did you purchase this?   The tracking number should be the full number with letters and numbers.  If it was only a couple of days, there is possibility that the item has not shipped yet.  eBay no longer displays a seller's handling time so you do not know if they ship in one day or six. This sometimes causes confusion. 

Is it eBay that is telling you a label was created?    USPS should have nothing to do with it. 

I would check in a couple of days again with the link provided above.

it often will recognize the carrier for you on the first page when you copy/paste it into the search box. 

Look in your purchase history and see when the "estimated delivery date" is supposed to be.  Do not use the listing itself, for that delivery date will change as if you purchased it today.

A week ago, and I asked for tracking after their 3 day processing period that they put on their post. It has also been 3 days since I messaged and got tracking, I thought eBay had a limit by this time. USPS says label made, but no I would assume it can just see it for some reason. No other website that tracks shipments says it even exists. This is a label they added, since eBay just says it is the generic slow shipping method, but again the shipper has on all their items that they pay for tracking. So it says will come by may, but many reviews say it came in two weeks. I just would like to watch it on its journey since this is my first foreign item purchased.

Some of this is very confusing and contradictory to what I would expect, is there any chance you could put the item number here so it can be checked out.

Yeah I'm not going to post my tracking. eBay says it will come by May because that is what the auto generated shipping it picks does. The seller themself says on their posts in description that they pay for tracking, so eBay has legit no idea what is going to happen. USPS says the label was created and not yet been scanned, but these other websites don't pick up on the label whatsoever. So yes it is contradicting and need someone to explain why USPS of all places can see it while sites that search all postal methods can't.

Just keep an eye on the delivery date so you don't miss out on being able to file a claim if there is an issue with this order.

I think I'm being taken for a ride. After looking more all of their listings are private, even recent ones. I finally found a bad review that they give a tracking number in reply and it is the same thing, doesn't exist anywhere but USPS saying there label exists just isn't there.

Here is tracking since it seems all fake RG801105260TW. eBay says Chunghwa post but their posts say EMS doesn’t exist there either. Am I really forced to wait till June 1st before I can do anything?
