eBay is the only organization I know of that doesn't have an active customer service phone number. Attempting to communicate my issue with their chatbot is an exercise in frustration. Their automated agent could not even come close to passing the Turing test!
Please, eBay, fix this problem by providing us with a customer service phone number that connects us with a live human agent.

I'm sorry for any trouble you had with contacting customer support. You should have seen an option to speak with an agent and if you go here, there are steps to get to that point in the chat flow.
If you have basic support questions though, I know many of the Community members here will be able and happy to help. Our Mentors especially have seen and done it all. To visit our Ask A Mentor page for help going forward, go here.
I hope this helps and you're able to connect with support soon!

Thanks for the info; I'll try it. However, the procedure specified in "How do I contact Customer Support?" seems to be a rather long and convoluted process in order to access a live agent. Why doesn't eBay post a customer service phone number to enable those who need help to get immediate assistance?

When you get the chat bot just type ''agent'' and you will get one.
However, they are not that bright even when you talk them

Beats CS hands down

Even if you get to the phone number for live customer service, you will reach the call center in the Philippines. Not only can those reps be hard to understand, but if your issue isn't directly spelled out in their playbook, they often give poor or wrong advice. If they get frustrated trying to help you they sometimes hang up. If you tell us what happened without giving the seller's username, we can probably help you on these boards. Many of us have been dealing with ebay problems for years and know more about solving issues than the phone jockeys at customer service.

If the problem isn't anything to do with your account, you can probably ask your questions here and get some good advise.
Even if you could contact CS, you might not get much help.

Customer Service is not a priority for ebay. I have been hung up on numerous occasions. i have been told that a ''SUPERVISOR'' will call me back in 24 hours. that never happens.
ALL sellers are treated like dirt when it comes to EBAY, unless you are one of their top 5% sellers.
There are two sets of rules for ebay. Those rules for the 5% and those rules for the other 95% of us.
If you get someone from the Philiphines, i suggest hanging up and calling back. When i call, the first question i ask is where are they located?
In the past ebay offered email as a way to communicate with them. This option was removed as they dont want anything in writing. You can file a written dispute and mail the dispute to their legal department, but you will be ignored or have your account suspended. IF YOU CHOSE TO GO THIS ROUTE. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ALL YOUR FUNDS OWED TO YOU BY EBAY. If they owe you money you will never see it.
These are the facts and the facts are undisputable,

Since your issue(s) are for selling, you might get better responses on the Selling board. Also do not piggy back on someone's topic. Write your own topic and spell out what the problem is. Do not write a book about it, just state the facts as you see them. Ex: "I sold ______ on date, shipped w/ tracking and it was delivered on date, X days ago. My funds haven't been deposited in my account".
The sellers who frequent that board can probably help you.

Yep...eBay and Customer Service as a seller is pretty much non-existent. If your problem isn't in their playbook you are totally screwed.
Spent five hours on the phone with "Customer Service" reps that I think was in India. I looked at my call log for the five hour quote. I think it was closer to 5.5 hours. I ended up figuring out my problem on my own.
IF you get a US based rep....be prepared for ill informed or unknowledgeable reps.
Been there...done that. All of it. I'd rather poke my eyes out with knitting needles now than contact eBay CS. I find better help on these boards.

The filth and scum have no contact available. They are ducking and diving useless convicts they might as well be in parliament. you will have to go to the ACCC registrar of companies to pay for a postal address and send a registered letter which never will be answered .
