New Member Hello

Hello Group. Hello Carol. Just found the group when looking for a way to contact all sellers for buttons to put large, clear pictures of their buttons and Please, please always include a picture of the back of the button. This is very important to button collectors. So Carol, is there any way to do this? I have been collecting buttons since 2003. Like lots of types of buttons. Learning more with each day.

New Member Hello

Welcome - from another newby. Just joined last month. But I'm also new to the passion that is buttons. You give good advice - thank you. What I am uncertain about is what to do about buttons that are carded and you can't show the back. Do you take them off the card to photograph the back? Sometimes they are all "strung" together. Or forego showing the back and describe it as best you can? Again, glad you joined and look forward to any other helpful information you can pass on. There are a number of members here that are new to the hobby and will appreciate your insight and experience. There are also some very knowledgeable people in the group and you should find it very helpful as well.

New Member Hello

It's not always practical for sellers to show the backs and it's sometimes difficult to show two images with each ad for new sellers. I do it when I think it's really useful for the bidders to see the backs but it's not always necessary to show a back shot, in my opinion. I host my own images and can stitch them together but I remember that it took me a long time to learn that. So many button sellers know nothing about buttons so it wouldn't occur to them to show the backs. Heck, it's hard enough to get them to say what size the buttons are. LOL. Yes, I agree, do the best you can and if you are able to show button backs, go for it. If the buttons are on a store card, no it would be too hard to show the backs. Most of those store carded buttons are in the modern age range anyway so backs aren't as important to see. -Carol C-
