Can anyone help me identify these weights?

They are brass, marked 2.30" H2O, and the number on top. They weigh 13.1 oz. I thought they had something to do with steam but can not find anything. Thanks

Weights for an adjustable relief valve. 27.6" of water=1 psi, so 2.30"=.083333psi=1/12 psi

This is the correct answer, normally used in industrial process control as a vacuum limiter/relief.

edit; Darn, I got tricked into necroposting to a 2-year-old thread by a foreign language translation.
