I always email my buyers when their item is shipping out. Been doing that for as long as I have been selling on ebay. I used to email buyers right after the auction closed but then eBay stopped providing email address.
So I sold a group of EC Comic reprints and got this back from my buyer. Kind of interesting and nice to know at the same time:

Also, in case this interests you -- several of the comics you're sending will be donated to the Wally Wood exhibit at the local history museum in Wally's hometown, Menahga, Minnesota. Although I live in Florida, my parents are from Minnesota and I'm a big Wally Wood fan, so I ended up helping the museum expand their exhibit -- been doing it for almost 2 years now.
So, by selling me these comics, you are getting paid for helping to raise public awareness about the great Wally Wood. Pretty cool, eh?
