It is with deepest sadness that I report the loss of a long-time member of the Bookseller Board.

My friend blue*skies*ahead has passed away. She had a stroke in April 2020 and was in and out of hospital since.

I am so sorry to hear that news!  She was always a ray of sunshine and seemed to be a very nice person.  Her real name was Kate and she was active on the Christmas exchanges.  

She was pretty young, as I recall.   I mourn her loss.

Sincere condolences cc ... Kate was always kind and consistently added value to the BSB. She will be missed.

I just learned of her passing through a Facebook post. Rest in peace, Kate. She was very friendly and lively... a good person, I think.

So sad to hear.  My insight was that "blue skies ahead" described her personality.  Too bad we couldn't name ourselves to match our personality.  Names like Grumpy or Ambitious might fit better than our given names.

And nice to see some of the old timers here on this thread.
