Not sure of the material of these beads

I thought these were shells at first, but now I don't think so.  They're light and hollow and are a long endless strand with no clasp.  I'm stumped!  Thanks for looking and for any help!

Thank you.  I appreciate the response but these are light and hollow and could easily be crushed, so I don't think they're ceramic.

Could they be rolled paper beads? I have seen some made and they look like them.

Thank you, Kelly.  They do sort of remind me of the rolled paper beads, but I'm pretty convinced they are some type of pod that maybe has been dipped and/or shellacked.  I appreciate the response!
