technical issue

On my iPad, I keep getting messages from eBay that I don’t have the latest version of the app installed. So, every time, I click on the message, and I assume that I’m adding the latest version of your app.  But then when I log again, I get the same old message. Once or twice, I’m pretty sure I was on the new app because I could see “My eBay” as a choice at the bottom of the screen. I was not able to on the old version. Please help me if you can understand this request. thanks.
