Did you mean:

negative feedback

Computer broke down so I didn't know buyer was dissatisfied.  He tried to notify me twice.  When I turned on computer I saw my feedback was down.  I convinced the sell to revise feedback and asked ebay to allow him

to do it.  He did but they would not let him revise the feedback.  I appealed but they said it was right.

I would like to know why buyers get so much more help from eBay yet we sellers are the ones who earn the

comissions for eBay.

@vintagevault7

You don't need permission from eBay. You just can send the buyer a Feedback Revision Request. Find the link near the bottom of your feedback profile.

You have to be rather sure that the buyer wants to revise the feedback, because your possibilities are limited.

And yes, it's true that eBay almost always sides with the buyers. That is a choice.

Re: negative feedback

Well, i suppose the buyer lied.  He said he would revise and invited me to formally send a request but when I did, eBay said they would let me know the next day.  They did.  Said they would not  allow a revision.  I send the money back right away and didn't even require the to send the item back.  People are heartless!

Re: negative feedback

Thank you so much!  Will do as you suggest even though I haven't much hope.  Buyer said he was willing

and I did send the formal request.  Back in May I was given a neg feedback for some thing someone gave me to  sell.  I advertised it as money back.  The buyer received and gave me a neg feedback before  I got out of bed  on he day of delivery.   I didn't know about asking for a revision, but I wrote to the buyer, gave him back all his money immediately and pleaded over and over.  Then I contacted an eBay agent who said only that buyer could do anything , but the buyer wouldn't relent.   What hurt was that the feedback wording was extremely crude.  I hate to go  on and on about this.   these matters are all my fault in a way as I am almost 87 and almost blind, so defects sometimes escape my vision.  I have no pension and take care of a disbled son of 66 years old.

It is heartening to know that in this rough world of eBay selling, there are some people who care.  Thank you for your advise and succor.

Re: negative feedback

TRied  and it was no use.  Buyer refused.  eBay refused. Thank you for all your help.  Gives me peace of mind that I

tried everything.  i will get a new name and a new account.  Hopefully they will let me keep the old one until

those feedbacks  are no longer keeping me from a less than 100 percent .  I think having almost a thousand transactions is significant.  Of course that is a year from now, so who knows what my situation will be at that time.

Thank you again.

Re: negative feedback

Yes!   I had noticed other sellers doing that but I hadn't tried it, thinking it would be too difficult for me to

navigate and take too much time.   But, I think recent happenings....like trying to get a revision and your instructions about seeking to address this issue, convinced me it was worth a try.   Was easy as pie!!   In fact, i was even allowed to go back to the May 2023 negative feedback and defend/reply to  that one.

Being almost blind and technically challenged, i sometimes don't  attempt  things.

Thank you for the wish for my better luck next time.

Re: negative feedback

Hello, Twinkling. Star,

I do have more questions and concerns which i thought I could navigate myself but I have investigated and

realize that eBay times have changed and it is not as simple as when I first joined eBay.   When i jotted on google

to  ask these questions I just got more confused.   i'm getting afraid that I am just going to have to stick with this low

feedback rating in order to sell.   I did hope that a clean record would be a better representation of a seller to trust.
