Zip code not editable

Buyer asked to ship to an address since it is a gift but the shipping zip code isn't editable. The rest shipping address can be modified. I think this is an eBay's technical issue. Rather than asking the buyer to cancel and rebuy, change shipping address, can eBay make the zip code for one item's shipping address modifiable?

Changing an address for a current order:

Buyers can change the shipping address at checkout right up until payment is sent. After that, the shipping address for that transaction cannot be changed.

The seller is required to ship to the address that comes with the payment or lose all protection in the event of an "item not received" case. Scammers often send messages urging the seller to ship to another address, so sellers are rightly wary of such requests.

The seller can cancel the transaction and relist to allow the buyer to purchase again and provide the correct address, but sellers are not required to do any of that.

If you're willing to forfeit your seller protections, and you're aware of the chance that you'll lose both the camera and the money, then why not just don't use the label created by eBay in the first place.  You can get another label at the post office.  Please don't misinterpret my comment as a recommendation.  My intent is exactly the opposite ... I would rather dissuade you from changing the address to anything other than what came with the payment.  I see a scammer behind every bush.
