When I hover the cursor over something I want to buy nothing happens. This just recently happened.

When I hover the cursor over something I want to buy or save to my watch list and click on it nothing happens. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Whenever something inexplicable like this happens on my computer, I close all running applications, then shut down my computer cold dead.  I wait about twenty seconds then boot up again.  I don't know how that corrects the problem, but it does most of the time.
