Did you mean:

Using an HDMI cord for monitor.

Dear Rytech PMW,

I recently purchased a Dell Monitor and Dell Optiplex. I have plugged all cords into the correct ports. Also used a cat6a cord to connect the computer to the router. When I turn the power on the computer and monitor, the monitor displays a message it is not receiving an HDMI signal. Any ideas what I should do? Thank you.

@kezava79   Your seller is not here.  Return to your purchase history and select contact seller OR a local computer tech.

Make sure that you are selecting the correct source when trying to view via the HDMI cable connection.  For example I can select HDMI 1 or 2 on my remote when I turn my computer monitor on and won't have any computer connection if I select HDMI 1.

If you have more than one HDMI port you could try changing ports.   That's the end of my very limited computer knowledge.   🙂
