Trouble with return! Help please!

I have never had to return an item before so this is new to me. I have sent the item back but when I try to enter the tracking number it says that the tracking number already exists and to enter a valid number. So now I keep getting reminders to complete the return process. I don't know what to do to fix this! Please help! Thank You!

Did you purchase a new shipping label with new tracking number?  You are entering the tracking number from when you received the item.  You need to enter the tracking number on the package you sent back.
