Store start up

I am looking to set up a store, but have a few questions. It looks like the majority of the listings will need to be fixed price listings. I see that collectibles also get free listing, but I do a lot of jewelry and don't feel that would be a collectible. I feel that the advantages of a store out weighs the negatives, but don't know about paying an insertion fee for auction type listings. What is the groups opinion. Thanks
